What are Limited Editions?
Limited editions are artworks produced in a set quantity, making them more exclusive and valuable than mass-produced pieces. Pippin’s limited editions feature high-quality reproductions of her vibrant, energetic, contemporary paintings.
Each limited edition is individually numbered. With your purchase, you’ll receive a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Pippin, along with a label displaying the edition number affixed to the back of your archival print.
What are Open Editions?
Open editions are art prints or reproductions that have no set limit on the number of copies produced. Unlike limited editions, which are restricted to a specific number of prints, open editions can be reproduced indefinitely. This makes them more affordable and accessible to a wider audience. Open edition prints can be produced in various formats, such as paper, canvas, or acrylic, and may or may not be signed by the artist.
What does Acrylic Designer Series mean?
The Acrylic Designer Series is a premium presentation style that enhances the depth and vibrancy of your artwork. The process begins with an image of the archival limited edition you’ve purchased, which is printed on metallic paper to create a dynamic, luminous effect. This print is then face-mounted to a 1/8″ acrylic panel and backed with a 3/8″ black acrylic layer, effectively “sandwiching” the image between these two elements for a sleek, modern finish.
Unlike glass, where light simply passes through, acrylic refracts light, intensifying colors and contrast—especially when combined with metallic paper. This results in a striking, high-definition appearance.
Acrylic Designer Series editions are available in sizes up to 40″ x 30″ and arrive ready to hang with an aluminum cleat and a full subframe, allowing the piece to float 3/4″ off the wall for a sophisticated, gallery-style presentation.
What does Dibond Was Art Series mean?
The Acrylic – Dibond Wall Art Series is a premium, high-impact presentation that enhances the depth and vibrancy of your artwork. Similar to the Acrylic Designer Series, the process begins with an image of the edition you’ve purchased, printed on metallic paper to enhance depth and luminosity. This print is then face-mounted to a 1/8″ acrylic panel (thicker acrylic options of 1/4″ or 1/2″ are available upon request). The piece is then backed with a Dibond panel, a durable aluminum composite material, creating a sleek and modern finish.
Unlike glass, where light passes through, acrylic refracts light, intensifying colors and contrast—especially when combined with metallic paper. This results in a stunning, high-definition effect.
Acrylic – Dibond Wall Art Series editions are available in custom sizes up to 96″ x 48″ and arrive ready to hang with a Douglas Fir wire hanging system, floating the artwork 3/4″ off the wall for a sophisticated, gallery-quality display.
What does Chromaluxe Metal Prints mean?
ChromaLuxe Metal Prints offer a striking way to experience a limited edition on aluminum, capturing the vibrancy, depth, and energy of Pippin’s originals. The luminous sheen of metal enhances colors and details, giving each piece a sleek, contemporary presence.
The image is created through dye-sublimation printing, a process that ensures exceptional durability and brilliance:
1. The artwork is first printed onto transfer paper using special dye-based inks.
2. The print is then placed onto an aluminum panel and subjected to high heat and pressure.
3. The heat transforms the dyes into a gas, allowing them to bond permanently with the metal surface.
4. As the metal cools, the dyes return to a solid state, infusing the image into the aluminum for a long-lasting, fade-resistant finish.
ChromaLuxe Metal Prints are available in sizes up to 40″ x 30″, with larger sizes available upon request. Each piece arrives ready to hang with an aluminum cleat, similar to the Acrylic Designer Series.
Please Note: The coating on ChromaLuxe metal prints may contain subtle imperfections that are generally unnoticeable from a normal viewing distance. These are inherent to the production process, and editions cannot be redone due to minor surface variations.
What does Archival Print on Canvas mean?
An archival print on canvas is a high-quality reproduction created with the finest materials to ensure longevity and exceptional detail. These prints are produced using archival inks, which provide outstanding photographic quality and long-lasting durability—no additional protective coating is needed.
Each print is made on 18mil semi-gloss archival canvas, then gallery-wrapped onto 1.5″ thick stretcher bars. The edges of the canvas feature a mirrored wrap for a seamless appearance, though you can request a black or white edge when placing your order.
Your canvas print arrives ready to hang, complete with a dust cover on the back for a polished look and a sawtooth hanger attached for easy installation.
Archival canvas prints are available in custom sizes up to 60″ x 40″ or 48″ x 48″.
When will I received my new artwork?
It normally takes 7-8 business days to receive your new piece. Rush is available for an additional 40% of your purchase price. This helps to offset the added cost of production and shipping. A rush piece will usually get to you within 3-4 business days. (Please note – rush may not be available close to the Holidays.)
How much is shipping?
Ground shipping is included in the U.S. Please contact us if you need expedited shipping. We do not ship outside of the U.S.
Does my print come ready to hang?
Yes! All prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
For prints 40″ × 30″ and smaller, we use a hanging wire and a drywall hook, allowing for easy installation without tools.
Larger pieces and prints with our aluminum subframe system use a French cleat, which requires drilling into the wall. Instructions and all necessary hardware are included.
Important Note:
Avoid hanging prints directly above sleeping areas or locations where a fall could cause injury or damage (e.g., valuables, furniture). While drywall hooks support up to 50+ lbs, the French cleat system offers enhanced stability and is recommended for commercial spaces or larger artworks.
What is the best way to clean my print?
To keep your print looking its best, follow these simple cleaning guidelines:
For all prints: Use a lint-free, slightly damp microfiber cloth to gently wipe the surface. Avoid excessive pressure to prevent damage.
For acrylic prints: Extra care is needed to avoid scratches. Do not use ammonia-based cleaners like Windex, as they can harm the surface. Instead, clean your acrylic print with a microfiber cloth and a specialized acrylic cleaner such as Brillianize for the best results.
Regular gentle cleaning will help maintain the vibrancy and longevity of your artwork. Let me know if you need any refinements!
