Aleta Pippin, an intuitive colorist, shares her enthusiasm for color. As a painter of vibrant, expressive abstracts – color is essential to her expression. Pippin discusses that color has a physiological impact on us as interpreters of the vibration that translates to color just as music does when we interpret the vibration of sound into melody. I was exploring the use of LED lighting in my paintings. This one – Shades of Green (sold), a mixed media painting, acrylic on acrylic panels with LED lighting, 36x12x2.5 inches demonstrates the transitions of color as the LED lights change color.
