Care of your Acrylic and/or Metal Print

Acrylic Surface:

Congratulations on the purchase of your amazing new Print with an acrylic surface.

The acrylic surface is extremely durable. However, like any shiny surface, care is essential. Here are a couple tips:

Do not place in direct sunlight.

You won’t have to clean it often. When you do, use a microfiber cloth and wipe the dust off. For a more thorough cleaning, be sure to use the microfiber cloth an acrylic/plastic cleaner like Brillianize Acrylic Cleaner or Novus – both of which can be ordered online. (The only cleaning I’ve done is to wipe finger prints off after a print has been hung.)

Metal Surface:

If you’ve purchased the Chromaluxe edition, be sure to note Care/Cleaning:  Contrary to popular belief, metal prints aren’t indestructible, and precautions should be taken to ensure they last many years. It is recommended to avoid sustained direct sunlight whenever possible and to handle with care to avoid scratching. Dust with a microfiber towel. Okay to clean with ammonia, bleach, acetone, or any all-purpose cleaners.

Never use a paper towel or windex to clean the surface of your acrylic or metal print.
